LUCY VOIN is a multi-genre, internationally touring violinist. Comfortable in a variety of settings, Lucy has held chairs within recording sessions and orchestras, theatre productions, has led chamber ensembles, and taken the helm as a soloist.

To highlight some of her accomplishments, Lucy regularly performs and records with the GRAMMY Award-winning 8-Bit Big Band (Charlie Rosen), was part of the Drama Desk Award-winning off-Broadway production of Amid Falling Walls, can be heard on the soundtrack of the Amazon Prime Video series Expats starring Nicole Kidman (Lulu Wang), and holds the principal violin seat for the 2025 The Wonder Years’s Burst & Decay III Tour.

She has performed with various ensembles on many of the East Coast’s most prestigious stages, including Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, The Appel Room, Merkin Hall, Perlman Performing Arts Center, and NJPAC. Her passion and interest in non-classical music has afforded her the opportunity to play at several of NYC’s most popular live music venues such as Kings Theatre, Sony Hall, Drom, Nublu, and The Sultan Room, among others.

Born in Memphis, Tennessee to Ukrainian-Jewish immigrants, Lucy began studying the violin and piano at the age of 3. This household was one of music - her mother being a classical pianist and her father a jazz multi-instrumentalist. During her time in Memphis, Lucy had the opportunity to study with a variety of pedagogues including Kimberly Meier-Sims, Margaret Gutierrez, Joy Brown Wiener, and Soh-Hyun Park Altino.

At age 14, Lucy and her family moved to New York City with the purpose of studying with the acclaimed violinist Michael Gilbert (previously New York Philharmonic). She then went on to earn her Bachelor of Music degree from the prestigious Mannes School of Music, where she studied with renowned violinist and pedagogue Aaron Rosand and Daniel Phillips of the Orion Quartet.

Lucy currently performs on a Fabienne Gauchet violin made in Montreal, Quebec in 2020.
